श्री राम चन्द्र कृपालु भजु मन हरण भव भय दारुणं। नव कंज लोचन, कंज मुख, कर कंज, पद कंजारुणम्॥१॥
कन्दर्प अगणित अमित छवि, नव नील नीरद सुन्दरं। पट पीत मानहु तड़ित रुचि शुचि, नौमि जनक सुतावरम्॥२॥
भजु दीनबन्धु दिनेश दानव दैत्य-वंश-निकन्दनं। रघुनन्द आनँदकंद कोशल-चन्द दशरथ-नन्दनं॥३॥
सिर मुकुट कुंडल तिलक चारु उदारु अंग विभूषणं। आजानुभुज शर-चाप-धर, संग्राम-जित-खरदूषणम्॥४॥
इति वदति तुलसीदास शंकर-शेष-मुनि-मन-रंजनं। मम हृदय-कंज निवास कुरु, कामादि खलदल गंजनम्॥५॥
English Transliteration & Meaning
O mind, sing of the merciful Sri Ramachandra — the destroyer of all worldly fear and sorrow. His eyes, face, hands and feet bloom like fresh lotuses — pink, radiant, divine.
His beauty surpasses countless cupids; His form is dark and lovely as a fresh rain-cloud. His yellow robes shine like pure lightning — I bow to Him, the noble husband of Janaki (Sita).
Worship the friend of the poor, destroyer of the demon and daitya clans — the joy of Raghu's line, the moon of Koshala, beloved son of Dasharath.
Crowned, with earrings and tilak, His limbs adorned with fair and noble ornaments; His arms reaching to His knees, bow and arrow in hand — victor over the demons Khara and Dushana in battle.
Thus says Tulsidas — O You who delight the hearts of Shankar, Shesha and the sages, dwell within the lotus of my heart, O destroyer of the hosts of lust and every vice.
