जय कश्यप-नन्दन, ॐ जय अदिति नन्दन। त्रिभुवन-तिमिर-निकन्दन, भक्त-हृदय-चन्दन॥
सप्त-अश्वरथ राजित, एक चक्रधारी। दुःखहारी, सुखकारी, मानस-मल-हारी॥
सुर-मुनि-भूसुर-वन्दित, विमल विभवशाली। अघ-दल-दलन दिवाकर, दिव्य किरण माली॥
सकल-सुकर्म-प्रसविता, सविता शुभकारी। विश्व-विलोचन मोचन, भव-बन्धन भारी॥
कमल-समूह विकासक, नाशक त्रय तापा। सेवत सहज हरत अति मनसिज-संतापा॥
नेत्र-व्याधि हर सुरवर, भू-पीड़ा-हारी। वृष्टि विमोचन संतत, परहित व्रतधारी॥

English Transliteration & Meaning
You are the son of Kashyap and Aditi, O Lord Surya — glory to you! Destroyer of darkness across the three worlds, sandalwood balm to every devotee's heart.
Seated on a chariot yoked to seven horses, bearing a single wheel — you take away sorrow, bestow joy, and cleanse every impurity of the mind.
Worshipped by gods, sages and earthly brahmins, radiant with pure glory — O maker of day, you destroy the burden of sin with your divine rays.
Source of all good deeds, the auspicious sun — you give sight to the world and lift the heavy bondage of worldly existence.
You open the multitude of lotuses and destroy the three kinds of affliction; devoted service to you effortlessly removes the deep anguish of desire.
Best among the gods, you cure diseases of the eye and remove the earth's suffering; ever the giver of rain, you uphold the vow of universal welfare.
